No one was with the tattered wizard when it occurred. No one would dare talk of the huge opening torn in our world. Few dared even pass close to the crater, as stories of strange beasts, impossible shifts of the landscape, and people vanishing forever surrounded the area. It was as if a dark door opened in the back of everyone’s mind at the same time. Across the land, people stilled and turned in the direction of the crater, even if they couldn't have pointed it out on a map. The following destruction set forth by the beasts was unstoppable..
